The TRIFECTA! HUGE 10 days for citizens of Davidson! 👏
- The hotel on Griffith project is officially dead.
- Town Boards of Mooresville and Davidson reviewed an Asset Purchase Agreement from TDS Broadband Service LLC and approved the sale of Continuum, pending voter approval on November 5, in the amount of $80 million.
- Board of Commissioners voted unanimously to approve the conservation easement for Beaty Property.
Kudos to the current board for the hard work to make this happen for the good of the citizens of Davidson!
We are blessed in that the Mayor and all current Commissioners have agreed to run for another term. Why, under the circumstances, two other individuals have chosen to run is difficult to understand. I believe Save Davidson should take the position that the burden is on both of these individuals to explain why, beyond personal ambition, they are running, specifically what they would bring to the Board that it currently lacks, and who among the current Commissioners–all of whom have, in my view, distinguished themselves individually and as a team over the past 2 years–they would propose to replace.
Steve Cook actually took his name out of the running a couple weeks ago.
Save Davidson has reached out to Mr. Stroup and has not received a response.
Save Davidson is pleased with the progress our endorsed candidates have made.
