During her estate planning about 18 months before her death, widow and Davidson resident, Venie Clontz, sold her land (The Beaty property) to Town of Davidson to be used as a park. It is clear in all the documents recovered from Town that this was her intention. Thank you for thinking of us, Mrs. Clontz, the future generation… and thank you for trusting Davidson to, as your son Ralph, Jr. said in his letters, ‘do the right thing.’ We promised Mrs. Clontz again yesterday that we will continue to fight for the legacy she intended. #UpholdingDavidsonValues
